About

It all began with an idea and corporate burn out. Circa 2012. And I’ve never looked back.

I’m Wendy and I attended Cottey College (AA&AS), then Washington State University (BS General Biology), then Middlebury College (for French). Now I’m getting my Master’s in mental health counseling. In my 20 years of working experience, I’ve worked for Xerox, Nordstrom and Alliant (a major insurance broker). Over 10+ of those years I have been the owner of Style By Wendy.

I am married and have a daughter and identical twin sons! Yes, that threw us for a loop, the twins, and now that we are in “the loop” raising kids, I just try to look good while doing it, in all the ways… emotionally, physically etc. But let’s be real, I wear athleaisure a lot. I want comfort, easy to wash and pockets! I’m appalled that they still make women’s clothing without pockets.

Some of my friends and clients have coined me the “apparel therapist” because your closet, your clothes and your shopping habits are one big metaphor for your life. Let’s up level that!! And I really try to incorporate goal setting and personal development in all that we do together because I’m truly more interested in who you become AFTER we work together than how many cool new outfits you got (though that’s awesome too). Schedule a free Zoom call with me today and let’s get your outfits straightened out. I’m looking forward to connecting.
